On the knife edge of poetry
you perch,
your bloody feet poised to leap
into my soul.
You know, from this verse I imagine the “feet” being interchangeable with both the poet and the reader of the poem. But… that’s how my mind is going at the moment. Have a good one, Shawn.
The subject is perching on his/her feet in my version, but the reader must find his/her own meaning. 😉
