Again there are a lot of new followers (several hundred in the last couple of weeks). Especially if I’m not following you get, please let me know you’re here!
I recently noticed that I have several hundred new followers, and I’m sure that many of you are writers with your own blogs.
Please take a moment and introduce yourself and your blog in the comment section below ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ so I can check out your blog, too! It’s nice to follow back other bloggers and share the love, but if you don’t comment, I never know you’re here.
I look forward to meeting you! 🙂

I am here, and I often speculate what you would be like in your classroom – given your freedom with your words, I’m imagining, like all exceptional teachers do, that you are wonderful, and your kids think so too. I say all exceptional teachers do, because in order to have the students believe, their mentor, their role model, their information provider has to believer their efforts are genuinely exceptional. 🙂
Some of my students think I’m wonderful, but the ones who don’t like to work think I’m too hard. 😉 I was really pleased at last years letters from many who said that my class was the highlight of their day. I like that. I love my students.
good for you – keep going forward
That settles it! I’m changing my name to Shawn Bird forthwith and pinching all these new followers off you. Either that or you’d better send me the instruction kit on how to get a new batch myself. I’m signing up your Shakespeare class for a start. The cat tells me I have a very entertaining blog as long as I let him dictate it.

I love your blog David. Stabbed anyone with your latest Japanese cane/sword?
Hello, Shawn, I’m your new follower here and on Facebook. It’s nice you want to know more about your new followers. So here’s something about me which you can read on my blog as well: Poetry and photography are my newest passions, living in perfect harmony inspiring each other. I like both free verse and form poetry and am quite proud to let you know that I am the creator of a new form named ‘tercetonine’. Shawn, I’d love to get your feedback. My blog URL is: http//irinadim.com
Hi Shawn, Love your blog!
I am Rachael from Redd Ink (http://reddink.net/). Just wanted to say thanks for the follow!
My pleasure Rachael!
You’re already following my blog which actually really made my day when I found out. Thanks! 🙂 I checked out your stuff and made the mistake of reading the teaser for your novel – definitely adding that on the “to buy/read” list. I enjoy your eccentricity, it’s awesome!
Thanks Emma! Nice to meet you!
Shawn, I always have enjoyed your blog, your poetry wastes no words but paints beautiful and original metaphoric paintings.
I also want to thank you for your visits to my blog. It encourages me in regards to my own poetry, for which I am sporadic at writing but am reading alot of what I see on the blogosphere.
WordPress is great for me because I have been able to connect with an eclectic community of artists; writers, poets and photographers from around the globe.
This is becoming my second hobby outside of gardening’ and it is so rewarding. It has also motivated mt to pick up some of those classic poetry books in my collection.
Kudos to you for giving so much of yourself to the community! Your students are blessed to have you for a teacher!
Thank you very much! How sweet of you.
Hi Shawn, I’m not sure if I’m a very new follower, but I would like to say I enjoy reading your poems. I mostly write fiction for children. Not a very regular blogger but do appreciate the fact that wordpress allows you to enter a wonderful community of like minded people.
Look forward to more of your poetry!
Thank you, Deepa! I look forward to having you here!
