I make you.
Word by word
I write you.
Stroke by stroke
I paint you.
View by view
I see you.
What I say
is what you are
So
I make you kind
I make you good
I make you loving
and so
you are.

This explores a similar concept to Patricia McGerr’s “Eight Cow Wife.” How you treat your spouse will reflect back on you. If you complain all the time, you’re going to be focusing on the negative until that’s all you can see. So don’t. Your focus creates your reality. Live the relationship you want to have.
really like this 🙂
Thanks.

Great read
Glad you like it.
Welcome.
I very much like this.
Thank you
I can easily see this be many things: from art of all kinds; children; and ourselves. Even in photography, which is my art of choice, if I focus on the negative around me, then that is what is going to show in my pictures. My pictures will not be what I like, or even think good. If I feel good about where I am, then my pictures will show this. I have tried to explain this to my sister who was dabbling in photography for a time, but I think she thought it was too hard. What really sucks is she has a much better environment, as far as I am concerned, for photos: she lives in upper California, near Big Bear (?), whereas I live in the concrete of Las Vegas, and am not easily moved by anything I see. I love nature, to me nature is positive and life giving, thus I feel my photos always seemed better when I was near nature; whether in San Diego or Georgia.
Though exposing a seedy underbelly could make very powerful photos. Or finding the joy in unexpected places
Agree with the lesson and love the way you have constructed it. I was discussing this very concept 2 weeks ago in a small group course.
You’re welcome to share it with credit in future courses. It’s an important lesson!
I love this idea!! When we write we do make love to our words and ideas.
