Anew
you are printed,
packaged
addressed,
journeying to a distant place
unfolding before distant eyes
to be judged
and found worthy
or not.
In time,
you may find
a measure of fame
or fortune between
the pages of some book
but for now
you are just
another manuscript
off in the mail.

(Sending off a short story to a local ‘prestigious’ writing contest. The story was short listed a couple of months ago in a contest worth twice the prize money, so who knows? These things are so subjective.)

Best of Luck Shawn. Who knows what 2015 will; bring.

Thanks, David.
It will certainly be busy, between working at school, working on my Masters, sending out assorted manuscripts, writing new projects, and keeping up the blog!
I hope you have wonderful 2015, full of good health and continued hilarity.
May your manuscript find a home in 2015. I will have one to send pretty soon. Good fortune to both of us!
Good luck to you!
I was going to write one for this, and then I remembered I had this one on hand. It’s a lesson. If we write all the time, we have these little gems ready when we hear about a contest or submission opportunity. 🙂
You certainly gave it a beautiful send-off. Good luck!

🙂 Thanks, Audrey!

Must remember to get to the post office tomorrow.
Good luck! Happy New Year! 🙂
Thank you, Therese!
