The clouds sink
obscuring hills with billows:
silver, grey, charcoal, black.
Heavy clouds in cold air
ready to coat the highway with danger.
We gaze out our windows
wondering whether we’ll get home before
the first storm of this winter.

Down here in Oregon it’s dumping rain and big mountain snow. Radar says you’re in for more than we are. Please stay warm and safe.
60 cm in the passes, they say (2 feet). I just hope it waits until midnight to start, and that the highway is cleared and sanded before I head off to work in the morning!
Godspeed.
Cold and gloomy – evocative ❤️️
My job here is done.

Happy Thanksgiving. Enjoyed, sounds cold, snow brrr
Happy Thanksgiving to you, if you’re celebrating! We had our Thanksgiving in Canada in October. 🙂
My apologies I hope your day was filled with peace and love. My grandmother on my mom’s side is from Canada, my dad’s father is from Canada. Enjoy your weekend. Rick
No apology necessary!
“60 cm in the passes, they say” if ye cannot stay the storm, stay the night
and carry candles and flashers for when you’ve had to pull over! 😉
