I know
wholeness
snapped pieces
knitting together
painful steps
I know
laughter
echoes of memory
wishing toward tomorrow
wanting it to be.
I know
potential
dreams bouncing
around halls and walls
I know.

Today’s http://www.NaPoWriMo.net prompt was to write ‘what you know.’
Know is a faith more can never acquire
Hmm. That’s a rather profound thought!
Hopefully we can discuss an answer….
Ah- but what is the question?
Lovely. hope and dreams, we know.
The more I know,
the more I realize
I don’t know
Ain’t that the truth!
And the more I seem to forget!
This is deep and meaningful. I love the repetition of ‘I know’ – it sounds like there is a bottomless pit of experience and feeling behind it.
Thank you.
Your poem reminded me of this old song for some reason ……. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=stBOhNxLrbM
I know the fragments of things. I know not how they fit together.
pieces of many puzzles
scattered on the floor
pieces of many lives
which pieces are mine?
Thank you so much for following me. I thoroughly enjoy your poems, and I hope you are inspired by mine.
I look forward to reading more of them.
This is absolutely stunning 🙂
Thanks.
