What wonderful and inspiring words you have! You have a true gift and I am glad to know, and shimmy with, you!
Hi Shawn
I have enjoyed reading your blog entries, you are truly gifted. And I will be making those yummy cinnamon rolls. PS what is the calorie count
Wonderful blog site and discussions Shawn. Thanks for the inspiration . . .
Such a meaningful site here Shawn, perfection in detail.
Have a great day
I understand about the whole fantasy lane, though for me, life is sometimes hectic with young kids and hyperactive dog, theres little or no time for much but reality. But hey we never give up, old habits never die, they just go get stairwells into the sky I guess.. there you got me going
For me amid small kids, dogs, etc. it was helpful to have an active imaginary world in order to deal with the unpleasantness in my reality. In places, fantasy and reality become so mixed up, it can take years to untangle. Then you write a book about it, and it’s all okay… lol. This may be the mark of the writer- this easy transit into another world.
Glad you enjoy the site. Come visit any time!
Love your website and your blog. Looking forward to meeting you in the future.
Yes Sylvia! I look forward to meeting you at some Shuswap Writing event!
Today as I visited my daughter I told her about seeing you and about your car named Sheila and she was brought to tears(not an easy thing for her). To have someone else have the great love for those 2 most special people was indeed a truly beautiful feeling. Seeing your parents brought back many memories and there was a great deal of talk of our visit. I can’t tell you how much the time meant to all of us. Wishing you and yours the very best and excited to read nyour book. Fran
It was great to see you and your parents, it is amazing how time is erased when we meet up with old friends like family, again and reminise.Thank you so much for the opportunity to be able to do this, it will always stay with me. I am looking forward to reading your book also, love the web page and blog. Kim
Blog is lookin’ good Ms. Bird!
Thanks Julia!
just stopped by to say hello
i enjoy your blog.
Kellie
Thanks Kellie! Come again!
Loved your character studies from The Scarlet Letter! I would love it if you would do the same thing for the Harry Potter series, so full of wonderful characters and intriguing names.
Excellent idea Ange! I stumbled upon a lot of the Harry Potter names while learning about Greek mythology when I wrote Grace Awakening, and I did look up a few of them while I was reading through the series. J. K. Rowling is a master of creating great names for characters! I will definitely do this for you. Stay tuned!
Ange, I discovered this has been done on several other sites. Here is a link to Mugglenet, which is a pretty definitive resource for all things Potter.
